Virtual Race Option

The Fox Valley Marathon Races strives to meet the needs of all runners. The Fox Valley Marathon Races is excited to offer a NEW Virtual Option designed for runners who are not comfortable with an in person race, cannot make it to St. Charles on race day, but want to be an official finisher for multi-year and multi-race awards, and runners who are unable to maintain the minimum pace requirements for the in-person race.

The FVM virtual race option is only available to addresses in the contiguous United States.

Run Anytime, Anywhere, September 1-30

The DuPage Medical Group Fox Valley Marathon, Half Marathon, Fall Final 20 and Fox Valley 5K allow you the flexibility to run your Fox Valley race anytime, anywhere throughout the month of September.

What’s included in the virtual race packet?

Race bib (minus beer ticket), finisher medal and race gear, as ordered at the time of registration.
Endurance medals – consecutive year medals for repeat race finishers (as qualified) and 5-Year Finisher Quarter Zip (as qualified). 8-Year Finisher Medal Racks will not be mailed as part of the virtual packet.

Virtual Race Packet Distribution

Packets will NOT be available for pickup. Packets will be mailed by 9/30.

When Do I Run my Virtual Race?

Run your virtual Fox Valley Marathon Race anytime, anywhere, 9/1-9/30.

How Do I get My Packet?

Virtual race packets will be mailed by 9/30. Packets will NOT be available for pickup.

Why is there a $10 up charge for the virtual option?

The additional charge covers postage, mailing materials, and time required to assemble mailed packets.

Does the Virtual Race Qualify for my Multi-year Endurance Streak?

Yes, Consecutive year finishers of any virtual Fox Valley distance will receive an extra medal commemorating their streak. Please note, that 8-Year Medal Racks cannot be mailed to virtual race finishers. Restrictions apply for the Fox Valley 5K. See the Endurance Awards page for details.

Does the virtual race qualify for my Multi-Race Triple Crown or Valley & ‘Ville medal?

Are there virtual Race Deferrals, Exchanges, or Refunds.

Race deferrals are available. Restrictions apply. See our race deferral page for details. There are no exchanges or refunds.

Does a Virtual Race Qualify me for Overall and Age Group Awards?

No, over all and age group awards are only available to live participants.

Will I be an Official Finisher?

Yes! You will be official finisher, but you will not have a finisher time or be eligible for overall awards or age group awards.

If the Entire 2021 Race Goes Virtual, Will My $10 Premium be Refunded?

Yes!

About the Fox Valley Marathon Races

Combining small race atmosphere with big race amenities, the DuPage Medical Group Fox Valley Marathon, Half Marathon, and Fall Final 20 are ideal for both veterans looking for a fast Boston Qualifier as well as first timers looking for an uncrowded, supportive, family-friendly race setting. Starting and ending in historic downtown St Charles, IL, the course winds through picturesque Geneva, Batavia, North Aurora, and Aurora to a spectacular finish across the Fox River that can be seen from over a mile away. The course offers fantastic viewing spots for families and supporters, as well as frequent and well positioned aid stations that are staffed by the most supportive volunteer teams of any race you’ve run.
